The Way I Reduce Energy Inside & Outside My Home

How I Can Reduce Energy

The way i can reduce energy inside & outside my home is by not leaving the lights on when i am not in the room. I would turn off the TV when i am not watching it because TV's does take up a lot of energy. As for the computer and radio those to items could be unplug as that goes for the DVD player, Wii, and Xbox360 when i am not using it at the moment. Also i could use less heat if its not that cold inside my home and turn off the AC if it's not hot. Save water by not running it for a long period of time. Outside my home i could walk to school everyday or ride a bike instead of driving a car having to put gas inside the car wasting energy. Run outside and ride my bike instead of going to the gym wasting energy as every machine is plug into a wall all at once.

How you consume energy?

Well we do so much things that consumes so much energy but since we love and enjoy doing these things we just don't notice it. For example i love showering in hot water this consumes so much energy because in order for the water to be hot its heated up first. Also, us girls love to look our best and have our hair very well done in order for me to have my hair looking nice i have to use a blower and a flat iron these materials are used every day by me even two times a day. When i use a plug since i am very lazy i leave the cords connected. My mother uses a gas stove which consumes so much energy since its used every day. I love sitting in my couch and watching television until my eyes are almost closing. When i leave any room in my home i leave the lights on. My father its all about new technology he loves buying new things like microwaves and refrigerators.

The way I reduce enegry inside/outside my home

                  How I can reduce energy
The way I can reduce energy outside/inside my home is take a bike to school. Walk instead of driving to save gas. Turn of the lights. Watch less TV for about only an hour. Unplug the cords from the outlit when not in use. Play less xbox. Use less of the internet. Take shorter showers and use warm water. Using energy star appliances. Set computers to sleep and hibernate. Take control of the Temperature. (use less heat) Use Compact fluorescent bulbs, saves more energy. Choose renewable energy. Also, another way I reduce energy it that I use less light in my household to keep the bill at a minimum. We also turn off of the tv when it get really hot. Outside of my home, I've lately been walking to places and its better for exercise.

How I consume energy outside/inside of home.

                   How I consume energy

The way I consume energy outside/inside of my home is that I take the train to school, drive in the car with my parents occassionally. Take long showers with hot water. Leave some of the lights on. Always watching TV for about 2 to 3 hours. I charge my phone and also leave some electronics plugged into the outlit, especially when not using it. Play xbox online on the TV. Use the Internet. In my household, we use alot of electricity. Our light bill usually goes up every month or year. We try to use less light in the house when not using it. When I do my hair, I always use the blow dryer or flat iron for about approximately an hour. Also, we watch tv or play xbox alot in my house, and the tv gets really hot. so once it gets like that we try to have the tv off for a while. In my bathroom, we have a fan on the ceiling and we leave it on for no reason. Thats another thing that makes our bill go up so lately we've been turning it off. We also leave the kitchen light on in my house while everyone is asleep, but thats another problem of how we waste energy.

How i can reduce energy at home and outside?

HOW YOU CAN REDUCE ENERGY.

To reduce energy you would just have to do the opposite in when you are consuming energy. When i am watching television instead of staying there enjoying what i am watching i would have to limit that and watch about 1 hour a day. Also, instead of taking the train to school riding a bike would be much better. When i am finshed using a plug i should unplug the cords instead of being lazy and leaving the cords connected because even though there not being used by leaving them plugged in it is wasting energy. When showering instead of using hot water people should use warm cool water. People should also limit the heat that is being used at home. To reduce energy i would also have to stop using my flat iron. Instead of a gas stove a good alternative would be Electric hot plates. Also when leaving a room instead of leaving the lights on it would be better to turn them all off

1. Intro to the problem of climate change.Climate change is becoming a very important issue in our lives, climate change affects us in a political, social, and economic way. We have come to realize that the way of us doing things is a major affect on climate change. Climate change is a big threat to every species on earth, not really all roaches are safe. Climate change is so affective it can stop farmers from growing fruits and vegetables because when there’s a drought it’s too dry and when is a flood well its to wet. Water resources may also be affected by changing precipitation patterns and increasing temperature. As we all know climate change affects everyone but the ones which are affected most by it are the poor, this is because all the tragedy that is happening is in countries like Africa and Asia but it is leaving floods and and droughts all these terrible things primarily where the poor people live. Economically energy shifts will change that will affect people who work and also income. this will effect jobs because people would have to learn how to do there job a different way and that could possibly be a struggle. Also a lot of people relate on melting ice burgs for water and because of a climate change the pattern in snowfall and rainfall, this will increase the  frequency and intensity of water shortage in many places and because of this the competition in water supply. 3&4. Potential impact on World/National/Personal economy:
One way the impact of climate change is affecting the world and the economy is that carbon dioxide has made temperature rise. Potential climate change impacts on the world crop production, including quantitative estimates of yield changes of major food, cash and industrial crop, prices, trade and risk of hunger. Global warming and climate change refer to an increase in average global temperatures. Natural events and human activities are believed to be contributing to an increase in average global temperatures. This is caused primarily by increases in “greenhouse” gases such as Carbon Dioxide (CO2), burning fossil fuels, and deforestation. This problem is so savior it is causing the raise of sea levels and threatening species except for roaches.  Solutions exists but there is no time to waste we have to act now. These are some ideas that can helps us keep the rising temperature to 2 degrees Celsius.  We can save energy,  water, recycle. But the main issue is green houses. Some greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide occur naturally and are emitted to the atmosphere through natural processes and human activities. Other greenhouse gases luorinated gases are created and emitted solely through human activities. The principal greenhouse gases that enter the atmosphere because of human activities are  Carbon Dioxide (CO2): Methane (CH4) Nitrous Oxide (N2O): Fluorinated Gases. We can lower the use of these gasses by planting fruits, vegetables, several things so that you will not have to worry about  food miles. We can also reduce our heating and energy use. We can also buy a bike instead of using a car with gas price so high you can also save some money by using a bike. You Also can buy recycled products and recycle at home.  Tell your friends about climate change or tell them to inform their self’s. (Kayla Maldonado) (Kimberly Barrera)

Happiness Index

Happiness index is the quantitative study of happiness, positive and negative such as affect, well-being, quality of life, and life satisfaction. The happiness index explains individuals needs of happiness which implies income, love, and health. Data shows the economy wants more of happiness other than income, income was lower than the need of love and health. Some individuals prefer to be poor if they can’t have happiness. Income is only a moment of need as love, health and happiness is a human liability for their whole life span. Happiness is what most of the people on the planet want. Love is right after happiness people on the planet want love in their life for someone to love and to love them back because of the way to get through life people at least should have love once while their living. Health is important to the economy because health keeps a person alive to live out their life to have a chance for happiness and love. Money is the least important money can’t be taken with you after life money can take you far but may not give you love and happiness.

  • We want to make a commitment to consuming less and recycling more.
  • The supermarkets and shopping malls well offer great choices but this shouldn't be the cost of the environment.
Most people start by breaking their old Patterns by embracing what they love and saving money. Researchers came to an conclusion that "buy nothing day" should take place during Black Friday only because that's when most of the consumers come out to spend money.  Black Friday is one of the biggest shopping days of the year, where a lot of electronics and clothing go on sale and things be a little cheaper and affordable for people to shop for the holidays.  Everything we buy has an impact on the environment, Buy Nothing Day highlights the environmental and ethical consequences of consumerism.  Buy nothing day is not only changing yourself but being able to change your lifestyle and the things we consume on which are not important to you. Critics want people to make a commitment to consuming less, recycling more and challenging companies to clean up.
